Prevention of pressure ulcers or "bed sores" is of paramount importance with bedridden patients. This Med-Aire Alternating Pressure Mattress Overlay System has a newly designed air pump to produce consistent air flow. It has a 17-air cell configuration, 9 with laser holes to achieve low air loss function, to increase patient comfort, keep the patient cool and help with recovery. It comes with a cover material that is water resistant and machine washable. The weight capacity is 300 pounds. Three air cells at the head section remain static, enhancing pillow function for maximum comfort.
  • The product is designed to be used in the prevention, treatment and management of pressure ulcers.
  • 8-LPM (Litres per Minute) newly designed pump produces consistent air flow.
  • Pump has LED indicators to identify normal/low pressure levels.

  1. Place the pump on a flat surface or supend pump on end of bed with attached hook.
  2. Place the mattress on top of bed mattress.Note foot end.
  3. Connect air hoses to pump and mattress.
  4. Check and ensure the air hoses are not kinked or tucked under mattress.
  5. Turn pressure to firm. Plug the power cord into outlet. Switch on the pump. The green switch will light when unit is operating.
  6. Adjust pressure for patient comfort.
