Prevention of pressure ulcers or "bed sores" is of paramount importance with bedridden patients. This Med-Aire Alternating Pressure Mattress Overlay System has a newly designed air pump to produce consistent air flow. It has a 17-air cell configuration, 9 with laser holes to achieve low air loss function, to increase patient comfort, keep the patient cool and help with recovery. It comes with a cover material that is water resistant and machine washable. The weight capacity is 300 pounds. Three air cells at the head section remain static, enhancing pillow function for maximum comfort.

- Place the pump on a flat surface or supend pump on end of bed with attached hook.
- Place the mattress on top of bed mattress.Note foot end.
- Connect air hoses to pump and mattress.
- Check and ensure the air hoses are not kinked or tucked under mattress.
- Turn pressure to firm. Plug the power cord into outlet. Switch on the pump. The green switch will light when unit is operating.
- Adjust pressure for patient comfort.
